Download the Reason Home app from the Apple App Store for iOS devices, or the Google Play Store for Android devices.
Step 3 – Create account and sign in.

Open the Reason Home app on your phone or tablet. Tap “Sign in” and wait for a few seconds. It will prompt you to sign in to Reason Home with Mi Account. If you don't have an account created already, tap "Create account" underneath the orange Sign in button and wait a few seconds.
Follow the on-screen directions to enter your email address or phone number and then verify your account with the verification link sent to your email.
After verifying your account, you can now sign in to the Reason Home app with the email/phone number and password you created.
Step 4 - Connect the clock to your Wi-Fi network.
In the Home tab of the Reason Home app, you should see the "+" symbol in the upper-right corner of the Home screen, tap it to connect the clock to your Reason Home account. Or you can tap "Add Device."
Check your device status to make sure the clock is powered on and the top LED light is orange. If not, proceed to step 5 first. Also, make sure that you enable Location Services on iOS devices to While Using the App, so the app can detect your local Wi-Fi network.
Tap "Next" when you're ready, and you will see the Select Wi-Fi network page. On this page you will need to enter your Wi-Fi network password. Please make sure the Wi-Fi network you're connecting to is a 2.4Ghz network. To check, make sure the Wi-Fi name does end in "5G" or "5Ghz." Also, make sure to enter the password correctly, you can check by tapping the shut eyelash symbol to the right of the password.
After entering the Wi-Fi password, it will prompt you to Go to Wi-Fi settings on your device. In Wi-Fi settings, you need to find the Wi-Fi name that begins with "zimi-clock-ac01." Tap to connect to this Wi-Fi network and return to the app. If you do not see this network under Wi-Fi settings, please go to step 5.
After returning to the Reason Home app, the clock will automatically connect to your Wi-Fi network. If there is a connection timeout issue, please refer to these two guides for help:
Note: The ZMI AI Alarm Clock supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz only. Please use a smartphone or tablet running iOS 9.0 (or above) or Android 4.4 (or above).
Step 5 - Reset the clock (if needed)
If the clock does not have an orange light at the top or you are having issues finding the clock name under your Wi-Fi settings, you should reset the clock before returning to setup.
To reset, make sure the clock is still connected to the power adapter. Then, insert a SIM pin or paper clip into the small "Reset" hole in the back of the clock. Press down and wait for 2-3 seconds before releasing. The clock typically says "Resetting" before rebooting. When you see the orange light at the top, then you can return to Step 4.
Step 6 – Update the firmware.
When the clock is successfully connected to your Wi-Fi network, it should now be shown on the Home tab in the Reason Home app. It will appear as a clock tile and the status should appear "Online." If so, tap the clock tile once.
A pop-up should appear showing that there is a new firmware update. Tap "Update" to begin. Firmware updates are necessary to fix bugs and improve performance. If you are having issues updating the firmware (connection time-out issues), please contact us directly: support@reasonclock.com
Firmware updates will usually appear in the Settings of the clock. To check for updates, tap the clock tile, then tap the gear icon at the top right. You will be in the Settings and see the option "Update Firmware." Tap it to check for updates.
